The Boutique Whitening Process gives you a professional whitening experience from the comfort of your own home. By following these simple steps, you can achieve the best possible results while keeping your teeth and gums safe. Here’s everything you need to know about using your Boutique Whitening trays:
1. Prepare Your Teeth and Trays
Before applying the whitening gel, brush and floss your teeth thoroughly. This removes any plaque or food particles that could affect the gel’s contact with your teeth.
2. Apply the Gel with Dosing Dots for Precision
Your Boutique Whitening trays feature dosing dots to help you apply the perfect amount of gel. Place a small dot of gel (grain of rice size) inside each area of the tray that will cover the front surface of each tooth. Avoid overfilling, as using too much gel can cause it to overflow onto your gums, which may cause irritation.
3. Insert the Trays Carefully
Once the gel is applied, gently insert the trays over your teeth, pressing lightly to ensure a snug fit. The trays are designed with Boutique’s Super Seal Barrier, which keeps the gel in place on your teeth and minimises any gel contact with your gums.
4. Wear the Trays for the Recommended Time
Depending on the type of whitening gel provided and your individual needs, you’ll be advised to wear the trays either during the day (for a shorter period) or night (while you sleep). Follow the recommended wear time provided by our team to ensure effective, safe whitening.
• Day Whitening: Typically worn for 1-2 hours.
• Night Whitening: Worn overnight for maximum convenience.
5. Remove the Trays and Rinse
Once you’ve finished your whitening session, carefully remove the trays. Rinse your mouth thoroughly with water to wash away any remaining gel. Avoid eating or drinking for at least 30 minutes after whitening to allow the gel to settle.
6. Clean Your Trays
After each use, rinse the trays with cool water. Avoid using hot water, as it can warp the trays. Gently brush the trays with a soft toothbrush to remove any gel residue. Store them in their protective case to keep them clean and safe for your next use.
7. Follow Up with Biomin Toothpaste
To support enamel strength and reduce any post-whitening sensitivity, brush with Biomin toothpaste after each session. This toothpaste helps to remineralise your teeth, creating a protective barrier that keeps your smile bright and your teeth strong.
Additional Tip:
• Listen to Your Teeth: If you experience significant sensitivity, take a break for a day or consult with our team. Minor sensitivity is normal, but ongoing discomfort may require adjusting your wear time.
